Basic types of work at heights
work at heights in building construction mainly includes five basic types: edge, hole, climbing, hanging, crossing, etc. these types of work at heights are the main places where casualties of work at heights may occur
I. edge operation
edge operation refers to high-altitude operation in the construction site when there is no enclosure facilities at the edge of the working face or the height of the enclosure facilities is less than 80cm
the following operation conditions belong to edge operation:
1. Unprotected balconies, material platforms and lifting platforms around the foundation pit
2. How to maintain the perimeter of unprotected floors and tape mechanics tester
3. Unprotected stairways and stairways
4. Both sides of the passage of derrick, construction elevator and scaffold
5. The periphery of various vertical transportation unloading platforms
II. Portal operation
portal operation refers to the high-altitude operation next to the hole and portal, including the pile hole and ditch with a depth of 2m or more beside the construction site and the channel. Among these specifications, some are the edge operations such as the groove and pipe hole that are standard in Jinan Sida
reserved openings for stair entrances, elevator entrances and equipment installation of buildings (when formal railings, doors and windows and other enclosure structures are not installed), as well as some loading openings, passage openings, construction openings, etc. that need to be reserved for construction. If the hole is more than 2.5cm and there is no protection, there is a risk of operators falling from height; Or if objects are accidentally dropped from these holes, it may also cause object strike accidents to the personnel below
III. maintenance of climbing operation control system:
climbing operation refers to the high-altitude operation carried out under the climbing conditions with the help of the climbing facilities on the building structure or scaffold or by using ladders or other climbing facilities
it is safe to erect and dismantle scaffolds and hang them around buildings. The installation and disassembly of tower cranes and gantry cranes are applicable to the plane tensile strength, static bending strength and elastic modulus, screw holding force, internal bonding strength, bonding strength, shear performance and other experiments of fiberboard, particleboard, plywood, blockboard and other man-made boards, and the operations such as well frame, construction elevator, pile frame, climbing and installing steel structural members belong to this kind of operations
when carrying out climbing operations, the operators can only climb on the shelves of objects that can be used because they have no operation platform. They should use one hand to climb, one foot hook or waist rope to maintain balance. The vertical line of the body's center of gravity does not pass under the feet. The operation is difficult and dangerous. If they are careless, they may fall
IV. suspended operation
suspended operation refers to high-altitude operation in the surrounding free state. It is characterized by high-altitude operation when the operator has no foothold or firm foothold
the hoisting of components in building construction, the use of hanging baskets for external decoration, the erection and removal of formwork, binding bars, pouring concrete and other operations in special parts such as cantilever or suspended beams and slabs, awnings and so on are all suspended operations, which are very dangerous because they are constructed under unstable conditions
v. cross operation
cross operation refers to the simultaneous high-altitude operation at different levels of the construction site and in the state of space penetration
the erection of scaffolds on the upper part of the site construction, the lifting of materials, the handling of materials by personnel on the ground, the fabrication of reinforcement, or the priming and plastering under the exterior wall decoration, the surface decoration on the top, etc. are all cross operations on the construction site. In cross operation, if materials are accidentally touched during high-altitude operation, tools are accidentally dropped or lifted objects are scattered, they may hit the operators below, causing biological attack casualties
